Silkscreen print of Gi-pa Giyim, a yarn store in the small town of Simav, Turkey. It was the first storefront opened by a woman in the town's history and is still in operation today. Sefika Edev, the 91-year old founder, lives above the store and is the grandmother of the artist's husband.

Ryan Hartley Smith is an illustrator based in New York City. His practice encompasses print media, animation, and theater projection design. Smith's work has been presented at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Tribeca Film Festival Community Series, BRIC Media Arts, The Museum of American Illustration, Delaware Art Museum and Miami New World Symphony. His work has been published in American Illustration and Latin American Ilustración. In 2018, Smith was awarded a Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators. Smith is an Assistant Professor in the Design Program at CUNY Queens College.
